Mom, I was 17 years old when I lost my biggest supporter to the dreadful disease called cancer. At the time I did not realize the impact that your passing would have on me. You're the strongest woman I have ever known. You were the backbone that kept our family together and striving to be better. Even through you were suffering you never wanted me to let up. Today, It's amazing that even though you're not physically here with us, you still have a way of connecting and protecting my family. 🙏🏻 Today, I figuratively, once again, hold up my Gold medal to you Mom and to all the other Mexican mothers out there that sacrificed and continue to guide and protect us with such love.
